Do you even like driving a car? Are you afraid to drive a larger vehicle?

I can calm you down. You're not taking over a race car. You will travel fairly slowly in a vehicle with a high technical standard, have an absolute overview due to your elevated sitting position and when you don't feel like it anymore, you stop. You turn your seat around, grab a chilled drink from your fridge, or make yourself a frothy caffè latte. Or you can take a power nap in your cuddly bunk.

Who is traveling with you? Where is the journey going?

The first question is the number of travelers. It goes without saying that a vehicle with two beds has different dimensions than one with four.

Is it feasible for you to sleep in a transverse bed or do you need a lengthwise bed that has the advantage that when you get up, one of two does not have to crawl over the other. However, the longitudinal bed makes for a larger vehicle length.

The destination also plays a role in choosing the camper, more specifically its length. Are you planning to meander through narrow mountain passes or Corsica's island curves, or are you driving straight country roads in Denmark?

Bulky luggage with you?

How much storage space do you need for bikes, for example, or boards for water sports? Nothing like that on board? This reduces the size of the motorhome.

Cooking sessions planned?

How is it with you, are you the type of dinner in a restaurant, quick cuisine or rather someone who likes to prepare elaborate food? Most camping vehicles are equipped with a two-burner gas stove. If that's not enough for you, you can bring a small gas grill. Other barbecues are usually prohibited on campsites due to a high risk of fire.

You will have to make do with limited space, small storage and preparation areas. You'll get used to it quickly and when you then look at the parking space next to you, where there is an igloo tent, whose inhabitants eat their food sitting on a sleeping pad and have converted a banana box into a dining table, you will see your mobile palace with different eyes.
